Surgery

Well, surgery is over, Alan survived and is home resting and recouperating. I am tired, my internet connection is acting up, I will post more details another day. Thanks to all of your support, prayers and good thoughts sent our way.

Insanity

I really question my sanity at times. As if the month of December isn't busy enough and I'm right in the middle of getting the Word by Word Writer's Society ready for the month, I decide to move my entire office upstairs into the spare bedroom. Granted it was getting kind of crowded in the living/dining/office downstairs, but with Alan unable to do all the heavy lifting now wasn't the best time for a big move. I spent the last three days hauling, moving, sweeping, rearranging the spare bedroom, dining area and office space. Life wouldn't be this difficult if we weren't living in a perpetual state of remodeling. My new office/spare bedroom is nice, even with the stacks of boxes and books that still need to find their new home. And the once large living room is now split between dining and living. We ate dinner at our dining room table for the first time in weeks and I didn't bump into anything when I pulled out my chair, except for the occasional greyhound, but that is SOP in this house. So now I am both physically and mentally exhausted, time for a nice shower and an episode of Hero's. That is after I put away the laundry. Aaugghh!
